Keep up to date with our weekly e-blast communication and quarterly The Connection e-newsletter. It is delivered via email to our membership and posted on the front page of our website and on various social media and viral marketing venues.
As we accumulate our accomplishments each year we report back to our membership and community which also includes our goals for the upcoming year. We present this report at the Annual Meeting in January as we install our new board members and officers. Much of our direction is guided by membership surveys we conduct at least twice a year.
The Ventura Chamber of Commerce is a valuable partner to businesses large and small in its ongoing drive to improve the local economy and promote a business friendly environment in our city, county and state. Each year we host events to inform, educate and involve not only our membership but the entire Ventura business community. In June we host the Economic Outlook Breakfast to share demographic and statistical information collected; as presented by the UCSB Economic Forecast. We also hold periodic focus groups called Key Executive Roundtables to hear from top business leaders who may or may not be chamber members to tap into the needs of the greater business community.
The Chamber works on behalf of the business community to sustain the vitality of the City’s economic base. By honoring the City’s history and traditions, the Chamber worked in partnership with elected officials to create a community of the future. Each February we host the State of the City breakfast to allow city leadership the opportunity to share their accomplishments and visions.
Our member businesses have exclusive opportunities to market, advertise and promote themselves with the chamber. Many choose to become part of the Chairman’s Circle program to maximize their investment. This program allows a one-time commitment for all advertising and sponsorships for the businesses’ membership year. There are also additional benefits only available to Chairman’s Circle members.
We take every opportunity to support our member businesses. Our Business Directory is a very popular feature we use to promote referrals from individuals who call or visit the office or use our website. We offer a chamber and collaborative Business Resource Center to as needed to help a business grow and develop. Our semi-annual Business Tabletop Expos allow businesses to exhibit themselves with booths. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with our Membership Benefits through the Membership division. Through collaborative partnerships, the Chamber is committed to defining issues and encouraging actions that will result in well-balanced solutions improving the quality of life for all Venturans. Our Ventura Commerce and Education Foundation (VCEF) has participated in the creating of a number of programs in order to benefit the community as a whole.
