Ventura Chamber commences search for C.E.O.

( VENTURA, CA)The Ventura Chamber of Commerce announced today a search to recruit candidates to fill the role of Chief Executive Officer.

“We are searching for a dynamic, creative individual to continue the forward momentum we have experienced over the past year,” said Marni Brook, Chair of the Board of the Ventura Chamber. “We will look for an individual whose strengths include innovation, collaboration both internal and external, financial management, interest in governmental affairs and a strong commitment to community. We are confident that we can find the right person to carry on the success and revitalization that Sandra Burkhart has helped our organization to achieve.”

“The Chamber has taken tremendous steps to increase relevance and value to our members and to the Ventura community,” Brook said. “We are seeking candidates who can easily recognize the trajectory we are on and keep us moving in that direction.”

Brook said the candidate will also need to display a strong commitment to maintaining and strengthening community partnerships and should be interested in expanding the Chamber’s social and web media presence.

“The new CEO will be working closely with the Chamber’s active and committed Board of Directors to lead the Chamber into the next chapter of its history,” she said.

Qualification Criteria- Ventura Chamber CEO

Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required

Management Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing staff, including goal setting, performance evaluation and team building.

Financial Experience: Proficient with budget and financial statement preparation. Must have strong knowledge of financial statement content and be comfortable presenting financial data to Chamber leadership.

Board Experience: Experience working collaboratively with diverse Board of Directors

Community Partnership: Must display a strong commitment to Community and desire to collaborate closely with other Community organizations and leaders.

Event Management: Must have experience creating and implementing successful events.

Marketing/Branding/Communication: Must be proficient in all aspects of social media and other forms of outreach and marketing to the membership and the community.
