Connection Breakfast

The Connection Breakfast is a fast paced focused networking event held on the first Friday of each month between 7:00 and 9:00AM at the Pierpont Inn’s Pavillion at 550 Sanjon Road located off the 101 Freeway in Ventura.
 
Between 150 and 170 business people attend breakfast each month.  Some members come every month; some come from time to time.  There is always a large group of first time attendees and member prospects (non-members may attend one Connection Breakfast before joining the chamber).
 
Members are invited to bring prizes for the drawings held throughout the morning.  Bring your business card and drop it into the basket to win these fabulous prizes.
 
Members may bring brochures, business cards or any marketing material for the networking table.
 
Chamber Ambassadors, Board Members and Chamber Staff welcome you to choose a table with business friends or potentially new contacts.  Before breakfast is available everyone spends their time introducing or reconnecting with one another.  Friends and acquaintances are more likely to do business with each other than taking a shot in the dark.
 
Each month the Connection Breakfast is sponsored by a different member business.  Sponsors are the first to promote their business with a two minute commercial.  They are provided with signage for more visibility and have the exclusive right to place materials on each place setting.  Sponsorships are available for $300 and are booked several months in advance.  An additional benefit of sponsorship is having your picture and company information listed in the next issue of the chamber’s Ventura Business newspaper.  To reserve your sponsorship today contact Nancy Maxwell at nancy@ventura-chamber.org or call 805-676-7500.
 
Following our sponsor’s commercial the remaining time is left for each attendee to give their own 20 second commercial as our emcee travels from table to table.  Practice pays - each month we give away free breakfast tickets to the best commercials.
 
The “Hot Sheet” is a complete listing of all member attendees who have made reservations by noon the Wednesday before breakfast.  Being on the “Hot Sheet” is extremely advantageous because as you give your commercial you save time by not having to give your phone number, address or website; you can state that you are “number 88” on the “Hot Sheet” instead.  You will see people circling your number for future reference instead of losing their attention and their interest.
 
Cost of breakfast is $25 for pre-registered members and $35 for pre-registered non-members.  If you pay at the door the price is increased by $5.  Members may participate in the 40 for $40 table and be allowed a 40 second commercial once per quarter.  Restrictions apply.  Please contact Ira Schueller at ira@ventura-chamber.org or call the chamber office.
 
Regular member attendees may want to join the Breakfast Club.  When you join you get a year’s worth of breakfasts by buying 11 and receiving one free at a cost of $220.  You also save yourself the trouble of having to register each month to get on the Hot Sheet.
